Water Line Replacement Program
Terms and Conditions
Please print this sales agreement for your records.
The Water Line Replacement Program covers the repair or replacement of a residential water supply line that has failed due to normal wear and tear.
- This Program covers a single water supply line to a single family residence, or a duplex with individual water lines for each residence within the duplex.
- Coverage under the program starts after first payment is received and enrollment in the program exceeds 30 days. Coverage continues thereafter so long as the customer makes timely payments. Customer payments prepay coverage under the program. Coverage is suspended at the end of the prepaid period in cases of nonpayment. Customer’s account must be in good standing (current) to receive repair service under this program. Customer may cancel participation at any time.
- The Program does not cover underground water lines that are clogged, leaking, in need of repair, or damaged before the start of service to the Customer under the program. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. retains the right to inspect the water line within sixty (60) days after receipt of the Customer’s enrollment.
- Additionally, the Program does not cover:
- water lines connected to wells, cisterns, or water systems which are not connected to a water company system;
- water systems for sprinklers, pools, hot tubs, and/or other outdoor systems;
- removal of obstacles necessary to access the water line;
- updating and/or moving non-leaking water pipes to satisfy directives of the water company;
- lines that exceed 500 feet in length;
- OH/PA residents only: repairs of remote meter vaults.
- After the line is repaired or replaced, Dominion Products and Services, Inc. will provide basic site restoration service to the affected area. Such restoration is limited to fi lling in, raking, reseeding and patching paved surfaces. It does not include the restoration of trees, shrubs, full replacement of paved surfaces or structures.
- Damage to the water line or other property caused by the actions of the Customer, third parties, natural disasters or acts of God or any insurable causes are excluded from coverage. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. does not assume responsibility for any work or repairs done by the Customer (or by the occupant of the residence if the Customer does not reside there), or by any third party without prior authorization by Dominion Products and Services, Inc.
- Dominion Products and Services, Inc. has the right to modify this Program, from time to time, on thirty (30) days written notice. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. has the right to terminate this Program on ninety (90) days written notice.
- By enrolling in the Program, the Customer:
- represents that to the best of his/her knowledge, the subject water line is free from any pre-existing leaks or damage;
- authorizes the utility to provide Dominion Products and Services, Inc. with any information about this account.
- Dominion Products and Services, Inc. makes fi nal judgment and reserves the right to establish coverage eligibility.
- Customer charges for the Program will appear on the Customer’s monthly utility bill. If utility billing is not possible, payments can be pre-paid.
