In-Home Gas Line Repair Program
Terms and Conditions
This program covers the gas lines inside the home that connect to the appliances inside your home.
- The In-Home Gas Line Repair Program is limited to single-family
dwellings and duplexes, not including mobile homes, that are customers of a natural gas utility.
- Coverage under the In-Home Gas Line Repair Program starts after
receipt of first payment and continues thereafter so long as the customer
makes timely payments. Customer payments prepay coverage under the
Program. Coverage is suspended at the end of the prepaid period in
cases of nonpayment. Your account must be in good standing (current) to
receive repair service under this program. Dominion Products and
Services, Inc. retains the right to inspect the in-home gas line for sixty(60) days after receipt of the customer’s enrollment.
- When a leak occurs, the In-Home Gas Line Repair Program covers the
following: (1) all parts and labor to repair an in-home gas line (after the meter); (2) in-line gas shut-off valves; (3) pipe, fittings, flex connectors.
- The following are excluded from coverage under the In-Home Gas Line
Repair Program: (1) pre-existing damage and leaks; (2) exterior gas
lines; (3) gas lines serving secondary buildings not attached to the home
(such as detached garages and storage sheds); (4) damage or leaks to the
gas line or other property caused by the willful or negligent action of the
customer or a third party, or by other insurable-type cause; (5) relocation
of internal gas meter to a site outside the home; (6) gas lines which are
integral to an appliance; (7) removal of items to access the gas line (such
as furniture or non-permanent structures); (8) structural or physical
restoration such as concrete, drywall, paint, wallpaper, paneling, etc. (9) propane homes.
- Dominion Products and Services, Inc. makes final judgment and
reserves the right to establish coverage eligibility.
- After the line is repaired, Dominion Products and Services, Inc. will
leak test the affected area and provide general cleanup.
- Dominion Products and Services, Inc. shall have the right to modify
this In-Home Gas Line Repair Program, from time to time, on thirty (30)
days written notice. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. shall have the
right to terminate the In-Home Gas Line Repair Program on ninety (90)days written notice. You may cancel your participation at any time.
- Dominion Products and Services, Inc. reserves the right to contract
work to designated contractors on an as-needed basis. Coverage is limited to $1,000 per occurrence.
- By enrolling in the program, the customer represents that to the best
of his/her knowledge, this gas line is free from any pre-existing leaks or damage.
- Customer charges for the program will appear on the customer’s monthly utility bill. If utility billing is not possible, payments can be prepaid.
